round and round we go [kasdeya/ghosty]

The European she wolf lifted her muzzle in the air sniffing. Nothing but the scents of the dog came to her nostrils. That was a great news. It meant that Ghost was no longer patroling around the territory, but most likely left. The grey pelted wolf had left in the wrong direction. Instead of completely leaving those lands, Ghost had headed towards the Starlit`s pack territory. Was he thinking that he could ever become an angel? Well if he did, that male certainly would need some help mentally. A male like this wolf would be better off alone as a loner. Jealousy seemed to have been the cause of all this. If Ghost was being jealous over other members than that meant Ghost would never manage remaining in a pack more than a day that was sure. Never would the Starlit pack ever invite him in the territory. He had been forbidden, meaning his chances of ever becoming an angel were highly low, you could even say impossible.

Kasdeya stopped drowning in her thoughts once the male spoke. The silence had now fadded away, their voices echoeing. The European she wolf`s eyes were locked into the dog`s eyes, trying to read his facial expression. It was hard to tell whether he was excited or bored about helping her out, which was rather frustrating. If the dog didn`t want to help her he would say so, right? She wasn`t quite sure, but she remained confident that the male was trying to hide his excitement at least she hoped so.

Gazidan brought the idea of playing hide and seek. Wait what!!! Kasdeyaa thought. How was playing hide and seek suppose to help? That was rather ridiculous! Kasdeya thought. An unhappy look was shown on her face as she saw Gazidan fade away. Kasdeya dropped to the ground, hiding her face with her paws, allowing Gazidan to hide without her cheat.

After counting to one hundred one preciously. Kasdeya opened her eyes and glanced around. Gazidan was no longer around nor was the rabbit that was laid beside the dog. Had he run off to hide...or basically ran away bored by the she wolf.

« I despise this game. » Kasdeya muttered out. Luckily it had just snowed, and traces of the dog could be seen. Following the pawprints, the European she wolf ran until the pawprints stopped at a bush. That`s when Kasdeya could smell it. She could smell the scents of both the fresh rabbit and the dog. She had it. Sticking her face in the bush, Kasdeya sticked her tongue out at Gazidan. « I FOUND YOU! » She exclaimed.

now that he thought about it, his choice of spot was rather flawed, akin to the game. she could visibly see his pawprints planted into the snow, and if it wasn’t that, his fur of black and brown stuck out like a sore thumb against the white. he would facepalm if he could. his face heated and embarrassment crept through his fur. she would think he was stupid now, if she didn’t think it already. shying away from the small gap between the bush’s leaves where he had peered out to look at his flawed plan, he crept down and used his only wing to cover his face. if she looked in, she would see nothing but dark. too bad that didn’t work. he picked up her not-so-pleased voice before she even arrived, and his heart sunk to hear she had despised his game. he shifted uncomfortably. he shouldn’t care, after all, didn’t he create this game to mess with her? but i did want to help her skills too. he told himself, pleased that he was keeping a promise he didn’t exactly make. oh well, she was considered a friend in his book – or at least an acquaintance. and he would help anyway he could.

as her beige and white face poked into the bush, tongue sticking out, and she exclaimed. it seemed so unlike her to do that – after what he had learned about her personality – and he was taken aback by the face (basically, the fact she stuck out her tongue). he wouldn’t point that out, however. he simply smiled kindly and slid out of the vegetation. he congratulated her with the dip of the head, tail wagging. congrats! you won. his pleased expression grew anxious. he hoped she had learnt something about tracking or the short round had heightened her skills. now… my timing was exactly great for this lesson… he jerked his head to the pawprints in the snow. but hopefully you learned something new from this. he doubted it, but he almost trusted that his poor timing hadn’t hampered her experience in tracking. he stretched his legs which were slightly cramped for huddling in such a small space. i heard you mutter ‘i despise this game’, but no worries- – he was sure she didn’t have any anyways – - we’ll move onto a different activity, since your tracking skills seem perfectly fine. his muzzle curled wryly. he was nearly positive she hadn't actually used her nose, but tracking didn't always meant that. using land clues would work as well.

gazidan trotted off, about a feet away, and peered around, optics narrowing. they could practice running now. his tail thrashed, thrilled. he enjoyed running. he glanced at kasdeya, eyes nearly curious. he wondered if she did as well. well, now would be the time to find out. we'll race next. you must be fast to chase fast prey. he exclaimed, trotting toward her. the practice will serve more use in harsher weather. we'll stop at that tree. he jerked his ebon muzzle toward a large, snow-colored tree in the distance. now lined up beside her, he gave her a glance, mischief dancing in his eyes. don't worry, i'll go easy. he chuckled, wondering if she'd challenge him or snap at his face. not waiting to find out, he howled 'go' and shot off. he purposely slowed a bit, giving her a chance to shoot off as he did, since it was unfair he didn't give her a warning. once she did, he hared away.

A smirked appeared on the adge of the European she wolf as her bi colored eyes were laid upon the male. « Seems like you aren`t as smart as I thought you`d be. » Kasdeya said, teasing the dog. Gazidan was most likely to be embarrassed. Embarrassed for giving her such an easy task. It would have been much better if there wasn`t any snow anymore, maybe that would have complicate things for the she wolf. But with the snow on the ground, finding Gazidan was just too simple. The game Gazidan had proposed which Kasdeya thought as stupid ended up being fun to her in some way...

Kasdeya`s bi colored eyes gazed at Gazidan as he kindly smiled to her, getting out of the bushes. To her surprise Gazidan had congratulated her with a dip of his head. « I uh...don`t think that was useful. » Kasdeya noted, embarrassed of herself. She didn`t want to be congratulated for such a childish act she had done. Kasdeya started bitting her bottom lip as the male spoke. « I don`t think I won, more like cheated because of the snow... » Kasdeya pointed out shurgging as she glanced down to the ground. A smirked made it`s way on Kasdeya`s muzzle as Gazidan spoke once again. « Sure did, I`ve learned that it`s quite easy to spot you. » Kasdeya teased, sticking her tongue out. Her mood was suddenly lightened up...for once. Somehow Gazidan reminded Kasdeya of her sister. He reminded her of all the fun she could have, but there was only one difference. Gazidan wasn`t her sister. Though he did manage making her enjoy time like her sister would...which was great. « Thanks. » Kasdeya said out of the blues, giving a weak smile. She was thanking the male for helping out a stranger for no reasons.

As the male made another comment about what she had said earlier, Kasdeya opened her maw but closed it immediately. She felt terrible. Sitting down, wrapping her tail around her front paws, Kasdeya glanced away. « I did not mean those words. » Kasdeya said coldly. The European she wolf shrugged at the male`s saying. « If you say... » She replied unsure of herself.

To her surprise, Gazidan offered to move on to the next step. After her stupid comment he still wanted to help out? Awkward...Kasdeya thought. The dog announced that racing was next. Racing hasn`t always been such a great strenght of Kasdeya`s with her small legs/size. Caught by surprised, the male shouted go starting to run to the tree, trying to catch him up, Kasdeya started running, looking behind her making sure no one else was there. BANG! Kasdeya found herself hitting her head against a tree, making her fall on her butt. « Owch... » Kasdeya muttered out, feeling highly embarrassed of herself. She was too clumsy, sadly.

he chuckled at her comment, still ringing in his flattened auds as he took off. spine curving slightly with each movement and appendages extended, gazidan was far in the lead. harsh, cold wind slicked his russet and obsidian fur down, but he paid no mind to it, the blood roaring in his ears. getting closer and closer to the destination, it was a miracle the brute had heard the low thump that had sounded behind him. front paws jamming into a mound of light snow, he whirled around, features anxious as he saw kasdeya on the ground nearby a tree. the incident had been obvious and he was at her side at once, tail wounding guiltily at his flank once more. a concerned whine slipping from his slightly gaped maw, he bent over her and sniffed at her head.

are you alright? gazidan asked, wide eyed and ruffled. hopefully, the tree wouldn't leave nothing more than a bruise on kasdeya forehead, but he wanted to be sure there was no more damage. circling her, he nosed at her fur, his own flattening with relief as he realized that no harm was done. backing away, he fought the urge to drag her onto her paws like she was nothing more than a confused pup. doing that and he would risk getting his ears torn off with insults or getting nipped. despite this, he still grabbed the demon's scruff, adding a little support for her to get up and letting go the second she was on her paws. he padded around her and stood at her side, welcoming her to lean on his shoulder in case she fell once more from light-headedness.

as she got herself back together, a look of confusion graced his dark features. kasdeya's lack of skill was definitely showing now. if there was one thing a wolf needed for hunting was the ability to run in a balanced, graceful manner. her display back there was anything but graceful. ducking his head slightly to hide his discouragement, he began to think about what to do next. she definitely needed to be more aware of where exactly she was headed. perhaps if she was a little more surefooted she could navigate the area without another incident? gazidan felt a little more confident with this in mind, and he glanced at her. shaking out his fluffy pelt and brushing his fur against hers, he allowed his amber optics to grow anxious once more as he stared at her.

i hope that you aren't terribly damaged from the incident, he murmured tactfully, nor discouraged. he allowed his usual light-hearted façade to wander into his words as he grinned. we can always retry, but differently. i can run beside you this time so that you won't run into any trees again. he added - amused - in an attempt to get her to smile or not feel bad. if you wish, i can hunt something for you if you don't want to retry so soon... allowing his voice to trail off, he glanced at her questioningly.
